Description
XA FUN DURING AND AFTER TRAINING
The concept of the XA has been primary set to the training class by Alex Höllwarth. To cope with the high structural demand of daily training, the XA has been fitted with a very robust mix of lines and material for the upper and lower surface of the wing. Beside that, the XA shows a perfect mix of easy launch and turn ability together with a high stability of its wing. The XA has been fitted with several high-end technical features, which are normally found only in higher class wings. Therefore, the XA shows a very precise and intuitive handling in turns. This makes that wing a perfect match for the first wing after the flight training.
Easy
& Safe
Already in the early stages of the test phase for the XA, selected flight schools have been invited to give their practical feedback in regard of suitability for training demands. It was found early that the XA fulfills all those requirements and combines the easiness in start- and flight abilities together with a very high safety throughout all phases of flight.
SUITABILITY
TARGETGROUP
Due to its safe and easy start- and flight handling the XA is perfectly designed for the intense demands of training. Despite that, the XA has been fitted with a lot of high-end technical features, which gives that wing a precise and good handling and makes it as well a good choice as first wing after the training.

FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS
XA EXCITED
The start with the XA feels quite easy. The wing needs only a light impulse to fill and throughout its rise above the pilot it is easy to control. The pitch stable profile of the XA gives the trainee enough time to check the wing before launching. Once in the air, the XA shows its easy but excellent ZOOM handling, which pilots valuing already on the X2C. The comfortable low and well-defined brake pressure throughout the “normal” flight range together with an markable increase coming to the low-speed regime, makes the XA a pleasant and easy to control wing. That feature makes the XA perfect for longer soaring flights or flights in thermals. All required training maneuvers, as Big Ears, B-Stall can be easily and safe trained which the XA.
SAFETY
SAFE FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS
As the XA is designed primarily as a beginner wing, Alex Höllwarth has put a lot of effort to the safety features of the XA during its design phase. From the beginning, the XA shows easy and error forgiving launch characteristic. In flight the very collapse resistant wing of the XA gives the pilot at any time a very good and safe feedback. The brake pressure throughout the flight range is comfortable low but approaching the limits it rises significantly.

Even in the training class, ZOOM takes a lot of effort on the design making of its XA. Coming in four standard designs, all of them features good visibility and attractive designs.
